Professor of Intercultural Communication and specializing in Asian Cultures and Business Cultures. Associate Professor, Docent, in Education at Linköping University. Developed and ran several Asian programs, among them SWETECH - Swedish Technology in Foreign Countries (mainly in China and Japan) and a 5.5 year graduate program in Japanese studies at the Institute of Technology, Linköping University.
Conducting comparative research programs, mostly about the relations between personal basic values and production capacity in the automotive industry (Toyota, GM, Saab and Volvo). Programs about work ethics at Toyota Motor in Nagoya. Visiting Professor at Meiji University in Tokyo. (The research programs supported by Japan Foundation).
Doing study programs for Ministry for Foreign Affairs and for ESF (European Science Foundation) in Asia. Member of the Board of EU- Japan Expert Association in Berlin. Conducting seminars and training programs about Asia for many Swedish companies, e.g. SAAB, Ericsson, Volvo, Scania, Hägglunds, etc.
Published several books, e.g. Managing across cultures (Routledge, London,1996) and most recent Asiens dolda ansikte (Carlssons förlag 2008).
