"Gender and Human Rights in China and the Nordic Countries"

The aim of the "Gender and Human Rights in China and the Nordic Countries" conference was to question the categories of gender and human rights. The conference addressed the links between theories and practical political, legal and social struggles for gender justice and human rights from the perspectives of China and the Nordic countries.

This conference was the second in the series of Sino-Nordic Women & Gender Studies conferences. The aim of these conferences is to develop trans-national, cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary perspectives on women and gender studies in and across the Chinese and Nordic contexts based on both theoretical and policy-relevant research.
