The website has been updated with information about arrival and departure.

22 April 2004

A CD-ROM with 46 of the 83 papers that will be presented at the conference has been produced and will be distributed on your arrival. Papers received at a later date will still be made available here.

20 April 2004

Abstracts are now being printed which means that we cannot accept changes in paper titles or abstracts after this date. Information about arrival times, equipment required for your presentation and special dietary requests are still welcome.

13 April 2004

The deadline for sending us your paper has been extended to Monday 19 April. Papers received later than this date will not be included on the CD-ROM that will be distributed to all participants on arrival.

16 March 2004

Papers are now being added to the website. See Panels, participants, abstracts & papers. Those who have not yet sent their paper to the conference secretariat are kindly requested to do so as soon as possible. If you do not want us to make your paper available on this website, please inform us. Papers will also be distributed on a CD-ROM that conference participants receive on arrival. Papers received later than 15 April will not be included. Changes in paper titles will be accepted until 15 April but changes in the subject of your paper cannot be accommodated.

15 April is also the deadline for giving us your exact arrival time at Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) so that we can arrange a pick-up service from Elsinore train station. Read more about your arrival here. Kindly inform us before 15 april which equipment you need for your presentation and if you have any special dietary requirements for meals at the LO School.

11 March 2004

The registration and payment procedures have now ended. A total of 100 scholars will participate in the conference.

26 January 2004

Most participants have now paid the conference fee but quite a few have not. Please make sure that you pay immediately if you have not already done so. Thank you. If you have any questions, please contact the conference secretariat.

15 January 2004

Please note that all costs (including those of the receiving bank in Denmark) in connection with the bank transfer of your conference fee to NIAS's bank account must be paid by yourself. If you have not paid all costs you will be asked to pay them when you arrive at the conference venue. We need to be strict about this because of limited external funding for the conference.

14 January 2004

The deadline for payment of the conference fee (= registration fee + meals + accommodation) is approaching. We will send out a confirmation by email shortly after we receive your payment.

19 December 2003

Different publishing houses have now been invited to sell or display their books at the conference.

18 December 2003

If you registered before 1 December you should now have received our official invitation letter. In case you haven't, please email our secretariat (issco5@nias.ku.dk) and we will send it to you by fax.

3 December 2003

It is now time to pay your conference fee. Please follow the instructions on the Fees, accommodation, payment and venue page. Payments have to be made before 15 January 2004. It is necessary for those participants who need a visa to Denmark to pay their conference fee before they apply for a visa.

2 December 2003

A preliminary list of panels, participants and abstracts has now been added to the site. Letters have been sent to the Danish Embassies and relevant Consulates in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan to facilitate visa applications for conference participants who have paid their conference fee.

Today letters of invitation were sent to 97 participants. The total number of participants now stands at 108.
